Masculinity and mental health are tough subjects with tender edges, and to approach them we need the right tools.

Legend Has It is an exploration of men and masculinity; how we see ourselves and each other, where we come from and where we are going. Blending storytelling and photography, we’ve been imagining the kinds of masculinity we want to see in our communities as we step into the future.

In response to a series of creative workshops, an interactive public art installation and interviews with local people, artists Ashley Holmes, Tanaka Mishi and Becky Warnock made this film.

Devised + Co-created by Heston & Cranford Local Advisory Group + Ashley Holmes, Tanaka Mishi, Becky Warnock, Aseea Mahmood, Paul Franklin

End Music: Kitty + Gary Conisbee Stills: Wiktor Swiatkowski
